ST. PETERSBURG OFFICE

SIT – Surveyor in Training

Responsibilities
Candidate should be licensed as a Surveyor in Training (SIT) and will be expected to work with and achieve a level of proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, GEOPAK, CAiCE, Microsoft Office products, Hypack, and Trimble data collection and processing software.  Boating experience is a plus.

The candidate will assist the Project Surveyor in all areas of surveying including job setup and planning, deed research, data processing, CAD drafting and field work.  Focus will be on transportation, utility and hydrographic survey projects.

This position will provide plenty of opportunity for growth and experience with a wide variety of geospatial projects.

Experience
1 year of experience as a licensed SIT and 2-5 years of experience with AutoCad

 

LAKEWOOD RANCH OFFICE

Crew Chief
Our Lakewood Ranch Survey Department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Survey Crew Chief.

Responsibilities
The Survey Crew Chief is responsible for all supervision of the field crew. He plans, organizes, and directs work of one or more survey field crews engaged in surveying to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, or other purposes.

Experience
Minimum of five (5) years experience as a crew chief; ability to read and understand civil engineering and survey plans; thorough knowledge of generally accepted land survey procedures and field execution of work and accurate note keeping for boundary, topographic and construction surveying; ability to operate and or direct the operation of an electronic data collector, GPS equipment, optical and robotic total station and digital and optical leveling equipment; ability to make informed decisions in the field.  CST Level III Position is a full time position.  All full time employees qualify for benefits after orientation period, including health insurance, personal time off and paid holidays.  Must have a valid Florida State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Instrument Operator
Our Lakewood Ranch Survey Department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Survey Instrument Operator.

Responsibilities
This person is responsible for assisting the Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew. The major objectives are the quality, accuracy, thoroughness, safety, and maintenance of equipment.

Experience
The candidate for this position should have a minimum of 2 years experience in Land Surveying and be a team player who enjoys working outdoors.  Candidate must have Electronic Data Collection experience with various systems, and must be able to operate contemporary survey instruments with little supervision or training, must have valid Florida Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Survey CADD Technician
Our Lakewood Ranch Survey Department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Survey CADD Technician.

Responsibilities
The Survey CAD Technician will transform raw field data from our survey crews into final maps and plans using computer aided drafting and design (CADD). Prepares surveying drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Must be proficient in preparing boundary surveys, topographic surveys, site plans, roadway plans/profiles/cross-sections, and infrastructure plans for a diverse group of private and public sector clients

Experience
A minimum of 5 years experience in the CADD Technician position is required.  Qualified candidates must have experience with Autocad LDD version2007 or higher.  Experience with Civil 3D is also preferred.
