Greg Dawkins, PE, has joined GFY as the Vice President of Structural Engineering in our Birmingham office. He brings over two decades of experience in traffic engineering to the GFY team. Previously, he served as the Director of Traffic Engineering for the City of Birmingham, providing him with a unique perspective that combines both public agency and private firm experience. In his role with the city, Greg was responsible for the signal timing and coordination of 704 signalized intersections within Birmingham city limits. He has a deep understanding of the specific needs of public clients, effective team management, and innovative approaches to improve infrastructure, including telecommunications design. Additionally, Greg is an expert in traffic analysis and traffic modeling.
