GFY was contracted to provide utility coordination, subsurface utility engineering (SUE) and land survey services to FDOT D7 in support of the resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation of State Road 54 in New Port Richey, Pasco County.
The utility coordination tasks included identifying utility agency owners (UAOs), drafting/disseminating Phase letters and plan submittals to UAOs, collection and follow-up on plan markups, coordination of design conference meetings, coordination of individual meeting requests between UAOs and EOR, uploading documents and maintaining UAO assignments in FDOT’s web application Project Suite Enterprise Edition. The SUE/survey services encompassed the designation and location of all underground utilities on the four quadrants of SR 54 and Seven Springs/Rowan Road and providing 111 test holes in preparation for the installation of new traffic signals, pedestrian crosswalk signals and light poles.
